    Pendle 3 Peaks Fell Race

Sat 16 August 2019, Barley Barley Village saw 138 hardy types assemble for the Pendle 3 Peaks Fell Race last Saturday morning (17/8/19). The race is reckoned to be one of the tougher offerings around Pendle, owing to three serious climbs over its 9.4mile length, and runners had a sizeable 2838ft of ascent to handle. Beginning at the Lower Ogden Reservoir, the

Calder Vale Summer 10 Mile Road Race

Sun 28 July 2019, Calder Vale One of the club championship events saw 12 Harriers participating in this challenging race although the summer part of it had disappeared. Much of the route around Bleasdale and Oakenclough was in low cloud and drizzle; this meant more pleasant conditions to run in, but the usually lovely views of the countryside were obscured.
