Fairfield Horseshoe Fell Race

The classic Fairfield Horseshoe Fell Race made a welcome return to the fell running calendar, still missing most races due to the pandemic. 218 runners were on the start line, with some still missing due to traffic congestion on the Windermere – Ambleside road, despite the start being delayed by 15 minutes. Clough Head & Great Dodd Fell Race
Sat 15 May 2021, Threlkeld, near Keswick
On Saturday the 15th of May 2021, the two Lake District mountains – Clough Head and Great Dodd- welcomed fell runners from all over the North of the country at a friendly but rather competitive race organised by Kong Racing of Keswick. The race was approximately 9 miles long with nearly 3000 ft of elevation. Mid Lancs Cross Country League Secretary
All clubs have been notified by the Chair of the Mid Lancs League, Nick Hume, that Dawn Lock, Secretary of the Mid Lancs Cross Country League has announced her retirement from the post with immediate effect. Nick advises that Dawn would be willing to assist a new Secretary during their first year with her invaluable advice and guidance. Preston’s Patrick Dever was in dominant form winning the 1,500m and 5,000m events at the American Athletic Conference Championships on Sunday at the USF Track and Field Stadium in Tampa, Florida. 30 April / 1 May 2021, USA Preston Harriers are fortunate to have several athletes on sports scholarships over in America and last week Kian Davis, Nathan Dunn and Byron Sowerby were all in track action. Mid Cheshire 5K Road Race
Fri 30 April 2021, Kingsley Never failing to attract a strong field, the Mid-Cheshire 5k is one of the region’s top 5k races and as such it always features a couple of Preston Harriers. The race will be held on 3rd October 2021. The club has been allocated 2 places for this race. Members can apply for a club place by contacting the Endurance committee representative Kari Edwards. The deadline for applications is Friday 28 May 2021.
