The series consists of 5 Short races, 5 Medium races and one 'bonus' Long race:

5 best races to count any distance.
Trophies are awarded to 1st, 2nd & 3rd Overall Male & Female, and 1st in categories - Male Vet 40, Male Vet 50, Male Vet 60, Female Vet 40 & Female Vet 50

Points awarded as follows:

1st 20 pts, 2nd 19 pts, 3rd 18 pts, 4th 17 pts etc to 20th & below 1 pt.

In the event of a points tie the winner will be decided in the following order

1. The runner who has won the most races ‘head to head’

2. The runner with the lowest total time in the ‘head to head’ races

Junior Fell Running Championship 2024

​

The Junior Fell Running Championship 2024 is open to all boys and girls from age 9 to 17.
There will be 6 races in the series with the runners best 3 race scores to count for awards.

Age Groups – Under 11, Under 13, Under 15, Under 17

For all the races, normally runners can just simply turn up and enter on the day of the race. Entry fee depends on the race, but is usually from £1 to £4.

All juniors will need to have a FRA parental consent form, which can be completed in advance (download from FRA website) and taken to the race or completed on race day.

A memento will be given to all runners who complete 3 or more races. Trophies will be awarded to the best 3 boys and girls in each age group.

Best 3 races to count. Points awarded as follows:

​

1st 22 pts, 2nd 20 pts, 3rd 18 pts, 4th 17 pts etc to 20th & below 1 pt.

​
