Preston Harriers were well represented in the City of Preston 10k, postponed from 29th September due to flooding on the course. In his first race for 3 months and still recovering from a hip injury, Rob Affleck was pleased to finish 3rd overall and 1st MV45 in 34.58. Preston Harriers were 2nd male team behind Salford Harriers, and the other team counters were Simon Collins in 7th place with 35.55 and Luke Greenfield, who was 17th in 35.55. Preston’s women were also 2nd team and the scoring runners were Becky Taylor (45.38), Laura Conn (47.10) and Emma Essex-Crosby (48.35). Other Harriers who ran were Marius Kovacs (39.07), Mark Lee (40.15, 1st MV55), Neil McDonald (41.57), Ken Beazley (43.06), Steve Townhill (43.15), Dougie Potter (44.11), Ashraf Kazee (45.49), Maciej Jarno (47.30), David Wakefield (54.11), Jon O’Brien (54.08), Sarah Wilson (48.47), Liberty Bryan (50.24), Sue Atherton (54.29), Elena McDonald (57.05), Shelley Audis Riddell (60.27), Sarah Clubb (63.24), Liz Mounsey (71.22) and Tracy Young (74.22).
