A total of 602 athletes, representing 40 countries, were declared for the European Cross Country Championships and Harrier Patrick Dever was part of the Great Britain senior men`s team that won a team gold at the Championships in Lisbon, Portugal last Sunday. On a clear day, with temperatures around 16 degrees, and in conditions quite unlike typical British cross country weather, the men ran just over 10k. Dever moved up the field throughout the race, and was the fourth GB counter in 26th place, behind Andrew Butchart, Ben Connor and Kris Jones. Great Britain and Northern Ireland topped the medal table with five team golds that included the senior men`s, senior women’s, mixed relay and under-20 men’s and women’s titles.
