Many thanks to Marion Hesketh for this race report
Once again, this popular local race attracted a large number of runners to the flat course
around the lanes near Lytham St Annes. Not for the first time, the race was held in fine weather after a recent storm.
The race incorporated the Lancashire Championships and former Harrier Daniel Bebbington was the race winner and Lancashire champion in a time of 24 minutes 13 seconds. Harriers' Sam Evans finished 4th in 26:41 with Luke Suffolk not far behind in 7th place with a time of 27:43. David Watson continued his fine run of form to place 23rd and 1st V55 in 29:32. These three combined to form Harriers’ A team, which placed 2nd behind perennial rivals Blackpool Wyre & Fylde AC.
