Three Preston Harriers travelled south on a warm summer evening to tackle the third Harrock Hill fell race of the year. The 5.3 miles with 900 foot climb race is run over the tracks and fields of Harrock and Parbold with virtually no road – under FRA rules. The race has attracted increasing numbers over the years and 200 plus starters is now the norm. Kate Lakeland was first Harrier home in 51.24 for 126th position, followed by Phil Lakeland, 63.34, 187th and Sue Wickham, 69.54, 198th.
