This race was the last chance to win points in the club road running championships, and
several Harriers made the trip to Cheshire, including a few who were running their first 10km
road race.
The race was won by Olympic marathoner Callum Hawkins in a time of 29
minutes 45 seconds.
Sam Evans was the first Harrier to finish, taking 26th place in a time of 33.18, and Luke Suffolk was 2nd U20 in 35.35.
Andy Eaves (38:48), Josh Parratt (38:47), Gareth Fairclough (41:46) and Tom Prescott (41:52) were all completing their first 10km race.
Dougie Potter (40:13) and Alan Metcalf (48:53) also ran.
Charlotte Gregory had a storming run to clock 39:18, slashing well over a minute from the PB which she set at Wilmslow only 3 months previously.
This may have been the end of the season, but it surely left these runners thinking about what next year might hold.
