Lowe and Noble dominate in Ellesmere Port

Preston Harriers put in a strong performance at the UK Upper Youth Development League over the weekend, with an on-form George Lowe leading the way with 2 first places (U17M High Jump, U17M Javelin) and 2 Personal Best performances (U17M Shot, Triple Jump). Harvey Noble also put in strong performances to achieve first place in both U20M Javelin and a PB performance for first in the U20M Shot.

Overall it was an excellent day for the field sports, with first places for Emma Harrison (U17W Hammer) who increased her PB by over 4 meters, Isaac Kambaba-Delaney (U17M Shot) who also increased his PB by 41 cm, Ruby Allison (U17W Pole Vault) who also took a PB, Lois Carrol (U20W Long Jump), and Harry Burrow (U20M High Jump).

On the track there were first places for the 4x100m U17 Women’s Relay team and for Hayden Middleton in the U17M 400m. Middleton put a PB performance in to win the 400m, and also gained PBs in U17M Javelin and High Jump.

It was an excellent all round performance by the Upper YDL team, with the following also achieving PB performances; Verity Glassey (U17W Discus), Isabel Caven (U17W 80m Hurdles; 300m Hurdles), Lois Carrol (U20W 100m Hurdles), Jenson Warren (U17M 400m), Scott Sinclair (U20M 400m), Keino Smith-Graham (U17M 200m) and James Ince (U17M 200m).
