Mid Lancs Cross Country Burnley

Sat 11 Jan 2019, Burnley The next Mid Lancs league cross country fixture is on Saturday 11th January at Towneley Park, Burnley, BB11 3RQ.

Usual Directions M65 to junc 9 and take the A679 for Halifax. In about a mile, turn right on the A646. Warning! It’s here that some road works are meant to be happening, so please allow extra time for the journey. After about 2.5m turn left at traffic lights onto the A671 and drop diwn towards Towneley Park. Entrance at the bottom of the hill. Bear left once in the park and please don’t block access roads and there is a parking fee. Cars have been ticketed for partially blocking the access roads and for not displaying a ticket. Should you be travelling from north of junction 32, please be aware that there are M6 full closures between juncs 32 and 33 over the weekend of 10th – 13th January.

Numbers If you have already run a Mid Lancs league fixture this season, please bring that number with you and please make sure it is a Mid Lancs number. Please don’t bring the Liverpool number if you ran there, as those numbers were for that event only. Anyone running for the first time this season, and this is the 4th fixture, should go to the Preston Harriers club tent first. There will either be a number there for you, or a registration slip will be completed. Anyone who wishes to compete must hold a current England Athletics licence number (apart from under 11s)

Race Times 12pm – u11 girls. 12.15pm – u11 boys. 12.30pm – u13 girls 12.50pm – u13 boys & u15 girls 1.10pm – u15 boys & u17 women 1.30pm – u17 men, all senior women and vet 70 men 2.15 pm – senior men.
