Mid Lancs Cross Country, Lancaster

Sat 17 February 2018, Ryelands Park After a gap of three years, the Mid Lancs Cross Country league returned to Ryelands Park in Lancaster. The weather was kind, with plenty of sunshine and in areas the courses were quite energy sapping.

The senior men ran four long laps for 9.6k and Nathan Dunn finished 2nd in 32.03. Dan Bebbington felt the effects of a recent virus and still finished 4th. A strong run from the improving Lee Foley saw him home in 29th spot and the remaining team counters were David Watson, Chris Wales and Kevin Hesketh. With the league title secured and other events on the weekend, numbers were lower for Harriers. The ladies didn`t have the same numbers running as in other fixtures too, but were led home by Nichola Jackson in 5th, then Emma Essex-Crosby was 23rd and Marian Hesketh 38th over 6k.

The under 15 girls had a clear team win over 4k, with counters Grace Brown a very good 5th, Jessica Watson 10th & Emily Mayson 11th. They were well backed up and supported by Annie Duffy, Caitlyn Preddy, Emily Reynolds, Faye Fishwick, Eva Sturzaker and Cailin Magee.
