This popular race around flat country lanes always attracts a quality field of runners, and it was won this year by Karl Darcy of Salford Harriers in a time of 51 minutes 46 seconds. The first Harrier to finish was 17-year-old Max Holden, who placed 9th in a good time of 58:34 in his first ever 10 mile race. Other Harriers to complete the race were Jason Parker (15th in 60:48), Stuart Nixon (64:57), Dougie Potter (67:06) and Kenneth Beazley (70:03). Performance of the day for Preston Harriers came from new recruit Charlotte Gregory. Just days after joining the club, Charlotte ran 66:24 for 3rd lady, taking more than 3 minutes off the time which she ran in the Porsche Centre Preston 10 only two weeks previously.
