Preston Harriers Interclub Road Race 14th June 2023 – For Urgent Consideration

Attention all runners.

Whilst we have been experiencing some high temperatures, the weather tomorrow evening is a little cooler and we will continue to monitor.

However, below is some practical advice if you are considering running tomorrow evening.

· Do not take part in the race if you have been unwell recently.

· Runners who are sensitive to heat or humidity are advised not to run.

· Keep hydrated during the day before the race.

· To dress appropriately for the weather.

· Consider sun cream, caps, and sunglasses.

· Keep in the shade as much as possible before the start of the race.

· If you feel unwell during the race, STOP, and ask a marshal for assistance.

Water is available at the end of the race.

Runners with any medical conditions should have already completed the appropriate sections on the reverse of your race number.

This advice is being issued having reviewed the Run Britain warm weather guidance.
