Relay, or should that be re-yeys! Read below and sign up if you would like to join:

Would you like the opportunity to pull on your Preston Harriers vest and represent the club at the upcoming relays in September? There are 2 separate events and they are not to be missed!

The relays are a chance to connect with other runners and take on a team challenge. There is always a real sense of 'team spirit' about the day, with friends and family welcome to come along and support too.

This year, the North West relays (incorporating the Lancashire County Championships) are on 8th September at Edge Hill University, Ormskirk, the specific details have not been released yet but based on previous years the distance is approx 5k with the Ladies’ race being comprised of 3 legs and the Men’s race comprised of 4 legs.

Later on the in the month are the Northern relays on 21st September at Stanley Park, Blackpool. Again, no prospectus yet but the distance is once again likely to be approx 5k with the Ladies’ race comprising 4 legs and the Men’s comprising 6 legs.

We aim to put out numerous teams for both these events across both the Senior Men and Senior Women categories and based on our performance in this year’s Inter-Club races we currently have an extremely strong squad of athletes, so if you fancy giving it a go please complete this form to express your interest Upcoming Relays.

Please note that you have to be a first claim member of Preston Harriers for both of these relays and in relation to the North West relays as these incorporate the Lancashire Champs you need to be eligible for county by birth/residency (6 months).
