Sun 20 May 2018

Four members of Preston Harriers joined over 30,000 runners on the streets of Manchester in very warm conditions for this huge and popular race. Dominic Moon was the first to cross the line, finishing 181st in exactly 40 minutes. Running in the purple Manchester University wave, Kevin Hesketh gave a masterclass to the current crop of students, finishing as 1st MV60 in 42.30. Kenneth Gawne finished in 52.13 and Megan Mahoney broke the hour with 59.46. In the accompanying half marathon, which took place earlier in the day in slightly cooler conditions, Emma Hargreaves was the sole Harrier finisher in 1.44.03.
