All clubs have been notified by the Chair of the Mid Lancs League, Nick Hume, that Dawn Lock, Secretary of the Mid Lancs Cross Country League has announced her retirement from the post with immediate effect. Nick advises that Dawn would be willing to assist a new Secretary during their first year with her invaluable advice and guidance.
Dawn has been Secretary of the Mid Lancs Cross Country League for many years and Preston Harriers offers huge thanks for Dawn’s hard work. She will be a great loss to the League. Nick is asking for another cross country enthusiast to move the League forward. It does not have to be one person on their own as the roles involved can be undertaken by a number of different people with an overall co-ordinator. As Nick has stated, if the League cannot find willing volunteers it could place the future of the competition in jeopardy, which would be a great shame after all these years and the opportunities it has provided to so many cross country runners since the 1930s.
