Preston Harriers’ men easily won the team prize in this popular race. Rob Affleck coped well with the hot conditions to take second place in 1.13.50 and he was backed up by Gary Pennington in 4th place (1.20.08) and Richard Smith, who was 6th in 1.21.03. Other Harriers who ran were Andrew Duffy (1.35.56), Peter Cowling (1.49.30), Paul Bousfield (1.50.53), Dougie Potter (1.51.27) and Julie Tyrer (2.20.20). The race was won by David Rigby in 1.11.15.
