Wednesday 18th October was the club's Guess Your Time 5K event on the track at the UCLan Sports Arena.
This was held to celebrate the reopening after the refurbishment, which had included a new track surface. The strong wind added to the challenge for the runners but thankfully it was fine and mild. The volunteers did a great job and all the runners enjoyed the event, showing a real talent for being 'in-sync' with their legs and finishing close to their predicted times.
The winner was a relative newcomer to the club, Emma Watson, who finished within 3 seconds of her predicted time, and was first lady overall. David Lea was second and Darren McDermott was third, with both within 10 seconds of their predicted time!
Well done to all the runners for taking part and we hope to see you back at the track soon.
