Harriers Round up May 31st – June 6th 2021

The big Harriers performance of the week came from Mhairi MaClennan who ran in the British and European women’s 10,000m Championships in Birmingham on Saturday June 5th. MacLennan put in a gutsy performance fighting against a stich over the final three laps to finish 16th in a time of 33:02.71.

At the start of the week (Monday May 31st) 14 Harriers made the trip over to Manchester for the Trafford Medal meet. Highlights include Jacob Mason winning race six of the 100m events in a PB time of 13.91, Jay Whiteside winning the B high jump event clearing a new PB of 1.60m and Corey Middleton winning event G of the long jump by leaping 4.9m. Elsewhere there were PBs for Logan Campbell (100m ), Ethan Chadwick, Sam Smalley, Adam Link, Sarah Winstanley (all 800m), Anna Vavoso (high jump) and Matthew Link (long jump).
