Mid Lancs Track & Field Allocation of Events

Blackpool, Sat 29th April

Procedure for allocation of events

Note athletes must register for a number by Thursday 27th April with Gary Tunstall if you want to compete at the first fixture and state your first choice of event. Allocations of events will be on a first come first serve basis. Allocations will be accepted from now . Only by email garytunstall@btinternet.com

We expect as last year there will be great demand for the Sprint, long jump and middle distance events for the under 13’s and under 15’s Athletes in the under 13’s (school years 6 and 7) and under 15’s (school years 8 and 9) will only be able to apply for one sprint or Long Jump either 100m or 200m or Long Jump – or only one mid distance race either the 800m or 1500m. If by Friday 28th there are spaces left in either the 100m, 200m, Long Jump, 800m and 1500m athlete’s can then apply for a second event.

We don’t expect other events to be full so you are able to enter up to 3 events. Harriers can have 8 athletes in each track event, 5 in field events except High Jump which can have only 3. We want to minimise athletes waiting around for the events and will know which event they have are entered for.

Note If you have entered an event and fail to turn up without letting Gary know by Friday 28th April then you won’t be able to pre enter for the next Mid Lancs fixture. So let Gary know if you cannot compete. The Athlete or athlete’s Parent must enter the athlete. No coach can enter an athlete on their behalf. It would be appreciated if some Parents would volunteer to help with the running of the meeting. ALL ATHLETES MUST WEAR A CLUB VEST TO COMPETE
