The Management Committee have recently received the following correspondence from our Chairman, Pete Hancock:
‘I have reached the stage where I feel that I can no longer sustain my current level of involvement with the Club, so have decided to resign from some of my current commitments. I am therefore standing down as Chairman with immediate effect and will produce one more edition of the ‘Harrier’ before standing down as editor. I am no longer chair of the T&F Committee and will no longer be taking on responsibility for maintaining the waiting lists for our T&F general sessions. I will continue as Arena Liaison until the track reopens, after which I will no longer deal with those issues, and I will continue to oversee the youngsters’ General sessions, hopefully until others are able to take on the responsibility for organising those.
I do however intend to continue with my own coaching group twice a week, for the foreseeable future.’
The Committee appreciate that Pete needs to relinquish some of his roles and would like to thank him for the outstanding service and commitment he has shown to Preston Harriers.
The roles vacated by Pete will initially be shared between Management Committee and other members, however it must be stressed that additional volunteers are urgently required to fulfil these roles on a permanent basis.
