Sun 10 Sept 2017 The inaugural Ribble Way 10k and half marathon trail races took place along the scenic banks of the River Ribble starting and finishing at the Dolphin Pub, Longton. The race was well organised by the Rotary Club of Preston Guild and Preston Harriers led the way with Kevin Hunt first to finish more than 2 minutes in front of his nearest rival in a time of 40.56.
Next to cross the line was Andrew Lea, 15th (50.19), followed by Ashraf Kazee, 16th and 1st MV50 (50.27), Phil Lakeland, 34th and 2nd MV60 (56.20), Emily Molloy, 52nd (61.16) and Tracy Young, 108th (81.02). In the half marathon there were strong performances from Alan Martin, 15th and 3rd MV45 (1.44.02) and Mick McLoughlin, 33rd and 2nd MV60 (1.55.58).
