Sun 9 July 2017 Several Preston Harriers entered this race. The race conditions were good and the course flat. The race was won by Gareth Booth from Horwich in a time of 16.31. Our own Jason Parker was third in a time of 16.46. Next in was Ben Preddy (17.13), Caity Preddy (21.57), Luke Suffolk (22.11), Sue Wickham (27.15) and Kari Edwards (32.16).
Julie Tyrer entered the 1500m fun run along with her 9-year-old son, Benjamin, who is eager to join Preston Harriers and is on the waiting list. Benjamin flew round the 1500m course in a fantastic time of 7.12 and Julie followed in 7.23; well done to both of them.
