Mid Lancs numbers and chip timers will be available at the Preston Harriers club tent. If you`ve entered the Challenge, then those numbers will be given out at the British Athletics marquee. Please ensure that the chip timer is secure on your ankle and so it can record your time when you cross the finish line. Please bring safety pins to affix your number to your vest, as there are no guarantees there will be any in the number envelopes, or whether we`ll have enough on the day.

The races attract larger fields than Mid Lancs, with competitors in the Challenge travelling from all over the UK. It will be very busy, so you should allow plenty of time for your journey and to park up. You are likely to have to walk some distance to get to the competition area. Parking is on the perimeter of the park. L17 3AL. Travel Directions are:- From the end of the M62 to Liverpool, turn left on the A5058 Queens Drive. After approx ½ mile go straight over the Fiveways roundabout continuing on the A5058. Continue over next roundabout and on through traffic lights/signals. After approx. ¾ mile the A5058 enters Sefton Park and onto its perimeter drive.

There will be programmes available on the day and there are food and drinks vans at the venue. Start Fitness normally operate a large outlet selling kit and branded Challenge tops. They probably won`t have any safety pins….but will have shoes and spikes if you forget those.
